Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities stated they were contacted by a man who discovered a vehicle in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Roughly fifty automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Officers state they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then found multiple other marked cars and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Police report preliminary tests indicate the substance was likely human blood.

"Currently there is no indication as to its source; authorities are presently not aware of any physical harm in connection with the event," they stated.

Local authorities said they were working "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the residents for information.

An important political figure stated the vandalism rendered him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on online, referring to the murder of nine people by a shooter targeting people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
